Danny E. 'Dan' Anderson Born: November 3, 1938 Died: March 19, 2025 Danny E. "Dan" Anderson, age 86, of Coal City, IL, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Morris Hospital in Morris, IL. He was born November 3, 1938 in Dwight, IL to the late Robert G. and Eileen (nee Sorensen) Anderson. He was a graduate of Dwight High School in 1956. Danny married Gail Koca on May 20, 1960. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1962 to 1964. He took an Honor Flight of Chicago in 2024. He was a member of the Coal City United Methodist Church. Danny was a Cement Mason for 62 years, retiring in 2018. He was employed at Bolander Construction in Libertyville, IL for 35 years, and most recently owned and operated Anderson Concrete Company, Inc. for 27 years. Dan was a fan of Illini sports, a Chicago Bears fan and season ticket holder since 1974. He was an IHSA basketball official for 25 years.
