Gloria was born in Joliet, IL on August 12, 1935, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Marino (nee Lanza). A passionate cook and proud restaurant owner, Gloria spent her life sharing her love for food with others. For years, her restaurant was a local gem, where patrons came not only for delicious meals but for the welcoming atmosphere she created. Her cooking was an expression of her love for her family and friends, and her signature dishes will forever be remembered. When she wasn't busy preparing meals for others, Gloria found joy around the card table, playing games with her family and friends. She looked forward to her weekly crossword puzzles and always welcomed a good challenge with her competitive spirit. At home, you could often find her tuned in to the Game Show Network, playing along from the comfort of her living room
