Rosario Ward passed away peacefully at her home in Lockport, Illinois on July 2nd, 2024. Rosario, more commonly known as "Chayo" or "Rose" was born on March 12, 1943 in San Antonio Texas, to Edward Garcia and Estella Martinez.
Rosario Ward met her husband McCoy Ward while working for Western Electric in Cicero, Illinois. They were together for over 50 years. Rosario enjoyed visiting with friends and watching her shows.
Rosario is survived by her children, Renee (Ward) Metsker, Anthony Ward, Nina Gonzalez, Teri Ward, Jason (Ward) Stevens, Justin Ward and Berney Zamora. Rosario has 6 grandchildren, Jasmine Ferman, Arian Bojdys, Sabrina Villarreal, Julian Villarreal, Marcus Bojdys, and Penelope Villarreal.
Rosario was greeted by her husband McCoy Ward, daughter Jeanne (Dede) Ward and her ancestors on July 2nd, 2024, when they came for her. She will be missed by all.
Treasured siblings are Carlos Garcia, Diane Novak, and Robert Gonzalez.
Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, July
